We are seeking a highly motivated Lead AWS Platform Engineer to join our team. This unique role blends the responsibilities of infrastructure architect, DevOps engineer, and cloud systems engineer. You'll play a pivotal role in supporting the development and implementation of a new workflow utilizing SageMaker and GitHub Actions.

- Design, develop, and implement secure and scalable cloud infrastructure solutions to support our platform engineering initiatives.
- Champion DevSecOps practices, automating workflows and integrating CI/CD pipelines with a focus on SageMaker and GitHub Actions (familiarity with GitLab and Jenkins a plus).
- Manage and maintain infrastructure as code (IaC) using Terraform for efficient provisioning and management of AWS resources.
- Configure and manage container image repositories using Amazon ECR and Artifactory.
- Secure and manage access controls using AWS Identity and Access Management (IAM).
- Design and manage cloud databases, including relational (RDS), data warehouses (Redshift), NoSQL (DynamoDB), and object storage (S3) solutions on AWS.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure optimal integration between infrastructure and application development.
- Troubleshoot and resolve cloud infrastructure related issues proactively.
- Minimum 10 years of experience
- Must have & + years of experience in designing and implementing cloud infrastructure solutions on AWS.
- Proven understanding of DevSecOps principles and methodologies.
- Expertise in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform.
- Proficiency in container image repositories like Amazon ECR and Artifactory.
- Strong understanding of AWS services including IAM, RDS, Redshift, DynamoDB, S3, etc.
- Experience with CI/CD tools, particularly GitHub Actions (familiarity with GitLab and Jenkins a plus).
- Experience with SageMaker is a strong plus.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
Additional skills:
- Experience with container orchestration tools (e.g., Docker Swarm, Kubernetes).
- Experience with cloud cost optimization strategies.
- Experience scripting languages like Python or Bash for automation.
Preferred education and certification:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field
- AWS certified DevOps Engineer Professional or AWS certified Developer Associate
The salary range for this position takes into consideration a variety of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, level of experience, applicable office location, training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The new hire salary range displays the minimum and maximum salary targets for this position across all US locations, and the range has not been adjusted for any specific state differentials. It is not typical for a candidate to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role, and compensation decisions are dependent on the unique facts and circumstances regarding each candidate. A reasonable estimate of the current salary range for this position is $73,008 to $170,640. Please note that the salary range posted reflects the base salary only and does not include benefits or any potential equity or variable bonus programs.
