Senior IT Infrastructure Engineer

The Senior IT Infrastructure Engineer will report to the Senior Manager of IT Infrastructure.

• Remote support desktop, laptop, and iPad, network equipment
• Purchase, install, and maintain equipment such as printers, scanners, etc.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve hardware, software, and other network and system problem
• Work with cross-functional team to coordinate equipment and network deployment plan
• Staging and configuration of network electronics based on customer requirements
• Performing physical implementation of network electronics into customer environments
• Understanding various network, data center, and data closet components
• Troubleshooting and problem resolution independently or as part of a team
• Interfacing with clients, partners, and internal team members to ensure effective implementation and integration strategies are executed
• Focus on providing a high level of customer satisfaction throughout the solution delivery process
• Maintain daily communications to ensure resolution and proper follow-up
• Lead crews of wireless access point installation resources
• Responsible for inspection of work quality of onsite resources to ensure success
• Assist with troubleshooting of client solutions onsite and remotely
• Ensure that L2 / L3 testing has been completed before leaving the customer site
• Identify and escalate situations requiring urgent Attention
• Track and route problems and requests and document resolutions
• Review and maintain written process documentation
• Install and support computer hardware and software following company standards
• Install and support computer peripherals for users
• Follow up with users to ensure the issue has been resolved
• Gain feedback from the user about computer usage
• Stay current with system information, changes, and updates
• Inform management of recurring problems
• Assist with project-based work
• Manage situations requiring urgent Attention

• Over 10 years related work experience
• Familiarity with one or more databases- Oracle, SQL Server, Mongo DB
• Experience in High Availability and distributed systems, Windows administration, troubleshooting, and support
• Excellent debugging skills across a variety of integrated platforms
• VMware - Experience with vSphere Replication and Site Recovery Manager (SRM), NSX-T, vSAN, VMC on AWS, and vRealize Suite.
• Knowledge of networking, including AD, DNS, DHCP, firewalls, load balancers, and IP routing
• Working knowledge of Monitoring tools - Splunk, Zenoss, Elastic, Appdynamics, Dynatrace
• Experience transitioning platforms to the cloud, a good understanding of cloud technologies- AWS, Azure, PCF
• Having planned and/or participated in terabyte-scale data migrations;
• Deep experience designing and implementing highly scalable, distributed application systems.

• Hardware (Mac, PC, Printer, Scanner, VOIP Phone)
• Client Connectivity (Ethernet, TCP/IP, and VPN)
• Experience and active certifications in Cisco, VMware, NetApp, VMware, Dell/EMC, and other relevant Data Center technologies
• Medical Device Equipment a Plus
