Job Summary

Partners with business and technical SMEs to produce project artifacts to meet project objectives as required by Entergy SDLC and PMO processes. Performs analysis and engages people throughout the organization to collect and analyze information required to define work products (such as the project charter, requirements, design specs, test cases, RTM, stakeholder communication plans, lessons learned). Responsible for developing and maintaining traceability of functional and non-functional requirements and design specifications to test evidence and implementation of project objectives and processes.

 

 

Job Duties/Responsibilities

  • Partner with business SMEs to capture, analyze, translate, and document business requirements into operational work products (e.g., use cases, functional specs) to be used by the development teams. Responsible for developing and maintaining traceability of functional and non-functional specifications to business requirements, objectives, and processes. Work with the business unit and the Solutions Architect team to develop the business strategy.
  • Work with the BU leadership to maintain an understanding of business/client priorities and functional processes.
  • Serve as an expert in business needs and maintaining context for improving business and Cyber Security alignment. Maintain awareness of business objectives, including critical business problems and business goals. Keep abreast of industry trends and innovations in technology.
  • Create and maintain all work products related to the BRM function of the project management process (e.g., business case, use case, functional specification, requirements traceability matrix, and financial models).
  • Responsible for ensuring that the work products are comprehensive for transition to the development teams for detailed design and to the Quality Assurance team for the creation of test scripts.
  • Translate both strategic and tactical business requirements into specific operational requirements across a broad range of business domains.

 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Minimum years of experience

1-2 years of IT/Cybersecurity project experience

  • 5+ years experience is preferred

 

Minimum education

Bachelor’s Degree in a related field or equivalent work experience

 

Minimum knowledge, skills and abilities required of the position

  • Hands on business intelligence experience on enterprise business performance reporting
  • Proficiency with MS Office; Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
  • Knowledge and understanding of business analyst fundamentals
  • Knowledge of writing and leading Business Requirements Documents
  • Knowledge of business process modeling; knowledge in business/functional domain
  • Experience with analyzing Cyber Security/IT business processes, software application; platform design and documentation, with an understanding of application platform data systems and operations processes.
  • Experience with business issues and data challenges of the assigned business area
  • Demonstrate critical skills/capabilities such as collaboration, strong written and verbal communication skills, analytical capability, data modeling, and requirements gathering
  • System development life cycle experience in project management
  • User acceptance testing and data quality assessment
  • Technical writing, user documentation and providing end-user training
  • Experience facilitating sessions with project stakeholders, asking probing questions to elicit business process discussion and creating process flow diagrams.
