The Opportunity:
In this role, you will report to the Site Supervisor and will work closely with the Avantor’s Lab and Production Services team of over 1,500 on- and off-site expert personnel – and our customers – to perform customized, mission-based lab work and research protocols that help return time back to science.
Shift: Monday – Friday 8:30AM - 5:00 PM
Location: San Diego, CA

What we’re looking for
Education: High School Diploma is required
Experience: Minimum 1 year of material handling/shipping/receiving experience is required
Must have valid driver’s license
Collaboration Tool: Microsoft Teams experience preferred
Preferred Qualifications:
Solid communication & problem-solving capabilities
Detail-oriented & superb attention to detail
Excellent Customer Service Skills; display a professional can-do attitude
Perform duties with the highest regard for safety and quality
Ability to understand and follow site protocols, policies, and procedures
Must be flexible, self-starter, forward-thinking, motivated, and can act independently
Must be able to lift 50lbs
Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office with proficiency in Word and Excel
Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines

Avantor’s Lab and Production Services team is a crucial part of the Avantor Services group serving over 500 customers in biopharma, pharmaceutical, educational, industrial, and high-tech industries with customizable, flexible solutions and end-to-end laboratory operations support. In this role you will:
Be liable for logistical activities such as delivering, shipping, and receiving of packages through coordination with 3rd party couriers
Process packages using an RF Scanner and various tracking system
Load and unload trucks containing small to mid-size packages.
Use company vehicle to deliver packages. (Must have valid driver’s license)
Pull packing slips and label with the accurate route to ensure correct delivery on site.
Associates use both hands for repetitive actions such as grasping and manipulating, as well as both feet for repetitive movement operating foots controls
Required to stand and walk for most of the working day
May be required to assist with additional tasks as needed.
