Funko currently holds thousands of lenses and the rights to create tens of thousands of characters – one of the largest portfolios in the pop culture and collectibles industry. Funko’s Pop! Vinyl is the number one stylized vinyl collectible on the market, selling millions of figures to fans around the world. Under the direction of the Art Director and the Sr. Graphic Designer, and as a key member of the Art Department, the Mondo Graphic Designer will create a variety of on-brand graphics for digital and print marketing materials and product packaging. Following and further developing the brand graphic guidelines, this role is a key contributor to relaying Mondo’s visual identity and, in partnership with our Copywriter and Content Producer, creates an exciting visual presentation for Mondo’s products.
What You’ll Do

Work within Mondo brand standards to design and/or art direct a variety of marketing assets such as:

Graphics for the Mondo website, email and social channels
Visuals for videos and interstitials
Print collateral such as catalogs, postcards, and product inserts

Work with product categories as needed to support new product development, including:

Packaging layouts
Title treatments
Credit blocks and layouts for posters

Manage and meet all deadlines for execution of designs
Work closely with Marketing/PR to develop brand assets that meet campaign needs
Research, present, and implement best practices in design, color, and trend
Manage Associate Graphic Designer/Coordinator, including administrative management and career development
Collaborate with the photo and video team to provide art direction, set design, and production support as needed
Manage outside freelancers like photographers, packaging designers, and other graphic artists (as needed)
Proactively communicate with cross-functional partners (Creative Directors, Production, Marketing, Business Management/ Merchandising, Events, and others)

What You’ll Bring

Exceptional design skills that demonstrate original, creative approaches to a variety of digital and print projects
Four or more years of professional experience in graphic design
Expert in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, Acrobat)
Elevated and adaptable typography, composition, illustration, and color theory skills
Strong organization and the ability to synthesize information with attention to detail and accuracy
An ability to shift between autonomous and collaborative work as needed
Art direction experience for photo/video a plus
Motion graphics experience a plus (AfterEffects)
Proficient with MS Office Suite

Salary InformationThe base salary range for this position in the selected city is $68,640 - $82,000 annually.Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units.
