About the role

This position will work nights to conduct sleep studies and provide a flexible schedule based off associate needs


Pay starts between $30-$35 per hour. Shift differential will apply (additional 10%-15% per hour)


Weekly earned wage access is an option for this position 

Job Purpose or Objective(s): As the Polysomnographic Technician, you will perform sleep studies to aid the physician in the diagnosis and treatment of patients who suffer from sleep disorders. You will report to the Manager.

 

Primary Tasks:

 

  1. Analyze patient information to meet the patient-specific needs regarding the testing procedure and to determine final testing parameters and procedures together with the ordering physician.

  2. Prepare and calibrate equipment required for testing to determine proper functioning.

  3. Apply electrodes and sensors according to accepted published standards.

  4. Perform appropriate physiologic calibrations to ensure accurate signals.

  5. Perform positive airway pressure procedures and explain each procedure to the patient.

  6. Perform polysomnographic data acquisition while monitoring study-tracing quality to ensure quality.

  7. Evaluate sleep study related equipment and inventory.

  8. Perform other responsibilities as may be assigned.

 

Required Education, Skills and Experience: 

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Willingness to obtain Polysomnographic Technologist certification within one [1] year
  • CPR certification within 60 days
