Position Summary...

As the Senior Director of Children’s Apparel Merchandising for Sam’s Club, you’ll own the vision, strategy, and results for Children’s Apparel turning member insights, trend signals, and supplier capabilities into a profitable, fast-moving business. This is a role for a builder and a driver: someone who can craft an end-to-end product strategy, elevate quality and value, and lead a high-performing team that moves with speed, creativity, and accountability. Your mission is simple and measurable: grow the business, enrich the member experience, and lead the team and supplier ecosystem that makes it happen.

What you'll do...

Lead the Business
  • Own the Children Apparel portfolio, delivering measurable sales, margin, and category growth across clubs and online.
  • Build and execute an omni-channel strategy rooted in member needs, competitive insights, and emerging trends.
  • Translate data, forecasts, and financials into clear business plans that drive profitable results.
Build Great Products
  • Set the product vision and roadmap across multiple apparel categories.
  • Collaborate deeply with Brand, Quality, Sourcing, Packaging, and cross-functional partners to bring exceptional, differentiated products to life.
  • Ensure every supplier delivers on value, quality, sustainability, compliance, and cost expectations.
Lead People & Partnerships
  • Develop, empower, and inspire a high-performing merchandising team known for collaboration, speed, and ownership.
  • Build long-term, strategic supplier relationships, negotiating effectively, elevating capabilities, and holding vendors accountable for performance.
  • Create a culture of continuous improvement, agility, and member-obsession.
Drive Innovation & Continuous Optimization
  • Use data, insights, and in-market results to rapidly test, iterate, and improve product performance.
  • Identify capability gaps, process inefficiencies, and opportunities to accelerate the business and build the solutions to solve them.
What You’ll Bring….
  • Prior experience in children’s apparel
  • A track record of owning and growing a major apparel business, ideally within a complex, multi-category or omni-channel environment.
  • Demonstrated success leading product strategy, supplier development, and merchandising execution end-to-end.
  • A leadership style that builds trust, clarity, and momentum across teams and elevates talent.
  • Strong financial acumen with the ability to translate analytics into action.
  • A reputation for strategic thinking + decisive execution, balancing creativity with disciplined merchandising fundamentals.
  • The ability to influence, negotiate, and manage multi-year supplier relationships that drive long-term value.
