Our work depends on an Appian Senior Developer joining our team to develop and improve software resources for a critical federal client. The Appian Senior Developer will play a significant role in improving and enhancing the user experience, making them an essential component of a mission that is challenging, important, and rewarding.

Timeline: This is for a proposal that is expected to be awarded in November / December 2025.

HOW AN APPIAN SENIOR DEVELOPER WILL MAKE AN IMPACT

• Works with web services, FTP, JMS, and other web integration technologies.

• Supports user experience, UI design, and/or HCI.

• Practices agile/scrum methodologies.

• Works with application servers, web servers, operating systems, and web application architectural concepts.

• Works with BPM software tools.

• Supports customer relationship management software and other low-code tools.

• Supports configuration, deployment, and testing of enterprise software applications and relational databases.

• Understands relational database design and SQL.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:
 

Education: BA/BS with concentration in computer science, computer engineering, or technical or related field.

Required Experience: 10+ years of experience in an analyst or developer role; 3+ years of this experience must be in successful software delivery or software development using Appian technologies and tools or comparable. Master’s degree can be substituted for 4 of the remaining years of experience.

Required Certification: Appian Certified Lead Developer certification or comparable.
 

Required Technical Skills:

• Experience with the Appian software platform.

• Familiarity with web services, FTP, JMS, and other web integration technologies.

• Background in user experience, UI design, or HCI.

• Familiarity with software delivery methodologies such as agile/scrum.

• Working knowledge in application servers, web servers, operating systems, and web application architectural concepts.

• Prior experience working with BPM software tools.

• Strong understanding of relational database design and SQL.

Required Skills and Abilities:

• Strong problem solving and design skills.

• Strong communication and presentation skills.

The likely salary range for this position is $161,158 - $208,056. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
