Job Summary

The Financial Systems Analyst II serves as the primary point of contact for maintenance and production support of financial systems supporting departments reporting to the Director of Hyperion Applications. This role blends business and systems expertise, requiring meticulous attention to detail. Working within a cross-functional team, the Senior Analyst ensures financial systems remain agile in response to business changes through metadata maintenance, change control, data validation, enhancements, and comprehensive documentation of system controls, data flows, and processes. A broad understanding of diverse financial systems (like Oracle/Hyperion Essbase), schedules, and resources is essential for investigating issues, addressing concerns, and implementing system configurations while adhering to regulatory requirements.

 

Essential Job Functions

• Serve as the primary point of contact for daily production support of Essbase Cubes, resolving issues and addressing inquiries from Retail and other departments to minimize operational impact. Provide expert Essbase system functionality knowledge and communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. - (30%)
• Maintain accurate metadata, tables, ETL maps, and security configurations for Essbase financial systems, ensuring data integrity and compliance. Manage security reviews and change requests, including timely removal of terminated employee access. - (25%)
• Develop, deliver, and maintain training materials for Essbase financial system end-users. Update and manage the team's SharePoint site with current training resources and documentation. Lead or support Business Intelligence development projects, including project documentation, scheduling meetings, and providing status updates throughout the project lifecycle. - (25%)
• Develop and execute test plans and detailed test scripts to verify financial calculations and system changes, providing comprehensive documentation of test results for production migration. Analyze financial data to identify trends, draw conclusions, and ensure data accuracy. - (20%)

Minimum Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• 5+ years of experience supporting Business Intelligence applications like Oracle Essbase, SmartView, OneStream, QlikView, Tableau, CXO, Power BI, Power Pivot.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, MIS, IT, Data Analytics, or Data Governance.
• 6+ years of experience supporting Business Intelligence applications like Oracle Essbase, SmartView, OneStream, QlikView, Tableau, CXO, Power BI, Power Pivot.

Work Environment

• Normal office environment. (Remote or Hybrid), 3 to 4 days per month are required in office if within 60 miles of a posted Bread Financial location.
