Job Description
Oppenheimer's Operations team is seeking a candidate that will provide foreign trade support to the International Clearing Department in New York.
Responsibilities:
- Enter applicable trades and instructions into International Settlement applications
- Apply concept of debits and credits to daily work
- Perform basic bookkeeping for daily settlements
- Reconcile bank vs the firm’s books and records
- Work independently and cooperate with team members
- Comply with section policies, procedures and escalation protocols
- Perform other tasks and functions assigned
Qualifications:
- Experience working in Financial Services preferred
- International Settlements or Euroclear experience a plus
- Bachelor’s degree is preferred but not mandatory
- Possess a high degree of proficiency with technology including MS Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)
- Ability to work collaboratively within the team, possess good writing and communication skills, exhibit good time management and relationship management skills.
- Must exhibit a high degree of motivation, dependability, and maintains a professional demeanor
Compensation:
For job postings in New York City, Oppenheimer is required by law to include a reasonable estimate of the salary range for this role. This salary range is specific to the City of New York and takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making salary decisions including but not limited to your skills, qualifications, experience, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. A reasonable estimate of the current base salary range is $55,000.00 - $60,000.00 at the time of this posting. Also, certain positions are eligible for additional forms of compensation such as discretionary bonus.
