Executive Pastry Chef

Job Description

An Executive Pastry Chef is responsible for the cooking, baking, and presentation of bakery food items for their residential dining hall, catering, or items for multiple locations. Just like you, we’re passionate about everything we do, and we’ll make sure you have the right growth opportunities to reach the peak of your career. 

Job Responsibilities

• Manage large volume of bakery production for Retail, Residential and Catering Functions
• Recipe and menu creation and management, Knowledge of Nutritional Requirements
• Manage team of 12-16 people to maximize efficiency and including Managing Ware Washing staff
• High-end Catering Production and Preparation of Plated Desserts
• Receiving and Inventory Management
• Ordering Management, Forecasting usage for high Volume events.
• Cake Decorating
• Knowledge of a wide range of Baked Goods and Desserts
• Ability to be truly Innovative and Creative.
• Other Duties as required

Qualifications

• Must be able to safely operate machinery and equipment
• Must be able to read, scale, and follow recipes
• Must be able to understand and follow directions from the manager/supervisor
• Ability to stand for extended periods of time, up to 6 hours
• Ability to push, pull, or carry up to 30 lbs
• Involves repetitive motion
• Involves working with chemicals, heated equipment, steam and at other risk conditions

 

Desired Qualifications:

• ServSafe Certified
• Minimum of two years experience in the food service industry as a baker
