General Summary:
As CFO, you will play a key role in shaping the financial future of Community Care Network/Rutland Mental Health Services, guiding the organization through an exciting period of growth and transformation.
In this strategic leadership role, you will oversee all financial operations, including budgeting, financial planning, reporting, and compliance, with executive oversight of the Billing, Facilities, and Information Technology departments. You will bring a deep understanding of CCN’s business cycles and services, contribute to setting business strategy, and provide insightful analysis to guide organizational decision-making. By fostering a collaborative culture and establishing strong controls, you will ensure efficient fiscal practices that align with CCN’s mission and deliver measurable results.
Your Role:
Financial Strategy & Leadership
- Lead the development and execution of the organization’s Financial, IT, and Facilities strategies in alignment with short-term and long-term business goals.
- Provide senior leadership with insights and advice, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
- Guide decision-making around capital investment, budgeting, and overall financial planning.
Executive-level Leadership & Team Development
- Build and manage high-performing teams, ensuring staff development and fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and innovation.
- Promote professional development and continuing education for team members to keep up with evolving regulations and technologies.
Budgeting & Forecasting
- Oversee the development and management of the annual operating and capital budgets.
- Ensure accurate forecasting and tracking of financial performance across all departments, including revenue cycle and operational expenses.
- Implement processes for regular budget variance analysis and corrective actions.
Financial Reporting & Compliance
- Ensure timely and accurate preparation of financial statements in accordance with GAAP, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Oversee the preparation and submission of required reports to regulatory agencies and other stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local financial regulations, including those specific to the healthcare industry (e.g., Medicare, Medicaid, CCBHC).
Revenue Cycle Management
- Lead efforts to optimize the revenue cycle, ensuring efficient billing, reimbursement processes, and collections.
- Identify opportunities to improve cash flow and reduce bad debt.
- Monitor payer contracts and reimbursement rates, ensuring optimal financial performance and contract compliance.
Risk Management & Internal Controls
- Identify and mitigate financial risks through comprehensive risk management strategies.
- Ensure effective internal controls and policies are in place to safeguard the organization’s financial assets.
- Manage financial audit process with external auditors.
Operational Efficiency & Cost Control
- Develop and implement financial policies and systems that improve operational efficiency and support the delivery of high-quality care.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and areas for financial improvement across all operational areas.
