Compensation Range: 120,300-150,200 plus bonus
Compensation may vary based on applicant's work experience, education level, skill set, and/or location.
Mission
Drive strategic growth for EnerSys Energy Systems by forging high-value partnerships, expanding market presence, and developing new business models aligned with emerging technologies and service offerings.
Job Purpose
The Director will lead partner strategy and business development initiatives across Energy Systems segments (Data, Industrial and Communication) for battery and power systems and services. Responsibilities include identifying and securing strategic alliances, negotiating commercial agreements, and driving joint go-to-market programs with key manufacturing representatives and value-added resellers. The role also involves partner analysis of total addressable market, specific ENS addressable market, offer management, and execution of strategic operational plans to achieve revenue and margin targets.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
• Strategic Partnerships: Identify, negotiate, and manage partnerships with manufacturing
representatives, value-added resellers, and technology providers to accelerate market
penetration.
• Develop joint business plans and co-marketing initiatives with partners.
• Establish a partner advisory board with representatives from ENS and our partners,
focused on increasing joint revenue and profitability.
• Business Development: Expand EnerSys presence in Telecom, Data Centers, Industrial,
Utility, Petrochem and BESS markets, leveraging existing channels and creating new
revenue streams.
• Lead initiatives for future subscription-based services, predictive analytics, and remote
monitoring.
• Market & Growth Strategy: Align partnership strategy with EnerSys’ 5-Year Growth Plan
targeting $398.8M revenue by FY31 (10.37% CAGR).
• Support diversification into Energy Transition services and EaaS models.
• Leadership & Collaboration: Work cross-functionally with Sales, Engineering, and Service
teams to deliver integrated solutions.
• Represent EnerSys at industry forums, tradeshows/events and partner advisory boards.
• Performance Metrics: Achieve revenue growth targets through partnerships and new
business models.
• Drive end user and customer satisfaction and long-term contract renewals.
Qualifications
This position includes supervisory responsibilities
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or related field; MBA preferred.
- Experience: 10+ years in strategic partnerships, business development, or sales leadership
within energy, telecom, or data center sectors. - Proven track record in complex deal negotiation, partner ecosystem development, and
market expansion. - Strong understanding of energy storage technologies, power systems, and service models.
- Exceptional communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
