What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and/or members of the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts, supervisors, and/or public agencies as needed.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized activity and report hazards, suspicious behavior, and/or policy violations.
• Monitor access points and verify entry authorization for employees, visitors, and/or contractors, following post orders and escalating concerns involving restricted areas or prohibited items.
• Maintain readiness of assigned equipment and complete required reports, logs, and/or incident documentation in accordance with Allied Universal standards and site-specific expectations.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
• Possess an armed guard card and/or license.
• Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
