The Role

We are seeking a talented Full Stack Senior Software Engineer with at least 5-7 years of professional experience to join our team and play a pivotal role in the GECOM NAM project, a cornerstone of our eCommerce platform. As we approach the project’s launch, your expertise will be essential in ensuring its successful completion. Post-launch, our goal is to establish an internal Development Team to take full ownership of the GECOM NAM platform. This team will be responsible for adding new features and migrating projects from the Mi9 platform, currently used by Metagenics Canada and Bariatric Advantage. The timely hiring of a Senior Software Engineer is crucial for a smooth transition, ongoing development, and supporting our business growth initiatives.  Experience with Next.js, Contentful, and GraphQL is preferred.  

 

Key Responsibilities

 

• eCommerce Experience:

• Preferably to have Payment Systems experience (Cybersource/Adyen/Stripe, etc.)

• Frontend Development:

• Proficiency in modern JavaScript frameworks, especially React.js and Next.js.
• Experience with TypeScript for building robust and scalable frontend applications.

• Backend Development:

• Strong expertise in Node.js for server-side application development.
• Experience with building and consuming RESTful APIs and GraphQL.

• Cloud Computing:

• Hands-on experience with AWS services, including but not limited to EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, DynamoDB, ECS, Fargate and API Gateway.
• Familiarity with cloud-native architecture and best practices.

• DevOps & CI/CD:

• Knowledge of automated deployment and CI/CD tools, such as GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or CircleCI.
• Understanding of infrastructure as code using tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
