Johnson Controls, Inc. seeks Sr. IT Solutions Architect- Global Commercial & Services Mo. at its facility located at 5757 N. Green Bay Ave., Milwaukee, Wisconsin 53201.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Use technical expertise to review, interpret, and respond to business requirements (Functional Requirement and Design artifacts) to ensure alignment between customer expectations and the current or future technology capability. Evaluate, design, and align technology solutions to the target state ecosystem, providing leadership on platform evolution and maturity of Services Mobility IT ecosystem, and define and maintain a target state technology evolution roadmap for Services IT platforms while ensuring alignment with overall Enterprise Architecture Strategy, IT, and Business Stakeholders. Provide insights and thought leadership on industry/functional trends and best practices to guide technology decisions in the context of business priorities, and offer technical leadership to coordinate, prioritize, and define solutions for Services projects. Prepare solution design documents in collaboration with stakeholders to ensure approval and understand service inter-dependencies, work with cross-functional teams towards technical solutions for multi-tiered systems. Use hands-on experience with technology, communication, and negotiation skills to enable the success of critical projects. Ensure standards for technical reviews, peer reviews, and feedback cycles are established and adhered to for architecture designs and implementation and implement technical governance across services mobility platforms for the region. Foster a culture of technical discipline, craftsmanship, innovation, transparency, and collaboration, supporting risk management, regulatory compliance, cybersecurity, and audit remediation activities, business continuity, disaster recovery efforts, and definition and utilization of IT governance processes and policies. Collaborate, negotiate, influence, and build relationships internally and externally in alignment with Johnson Controls’ key values such as integrity, teamwork, excellence, and accountability. 100% Telecommuting Allowed.

REQUIREMENTS:

This position requires a bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Applied Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field, plus Eight (8) years of experience as an IT Solutions Architect, IT Solutions Engineer, or similar occupation working with strategic mobility solutions technologies. Additionally, the applicant must have employment experience with: (1) Utilizing Agile delivery principles; (2) Utilizing quality software engineering processes and practices; (3) Utilizing cloud concepts, including IaaS, PaaS, SaaS, and iPaaS; (4) Design and development of object-oriented systems and developing solutions; and (5) Integrating platforms using enterprise integration software such as MuleSoft or Oracle Integration Cloud.
