What’s the role?

We are looking for an accomplished business leader with expertise in the Payments area to lead Etsy’s growing Payments team. As the Sr. Director, Payments, you will lead a team of a variety of functions who build and manage all aspects of our Payments ecosystem, including seller finances, the buyer experience, loyalty, gift cards, cobrand cards, infrastructure, 3rd party integrations, payments and compliance. Partnering closely with our VP of Payments and Senior Director, Product to develop a strategy, work with the Product teams to translate it into a roadmap and execute. You will ultimately own the P&L and set and drive towards business outcomes; you will help craft the vision of Etsy’s Payments that will lead us into the future.

We seek a candidate who has experience leading a business unit from a P&L perspective, comfortable leading a large scope and who can seamlessly partner across the organization: with product, engineers, research, analytics, design, operations, finance, and others. You're an experienced manager who can build and elevate a hardworking team located in New York and Dublin. You are passionate about mentoring and inspire a dynamic and impactful customer centric culture.

This is a full-time position reporting to the VP & GM Payments and Risk. The base salary range will be 232,000 - 302,000 USD per year. In addition to salary, you will also be eligible for an equity package, an annual performance bonus, and our competitive benefits that support you and your family as part of your total rewards package at Etsy. For this role, we are considering candidates based in the United States who are either remote, flex, or office-based. • Managing a business unit including owning the full P&L, with a focus on growing topline revenue and maximizing on margins
• Setting the long term strategic vision and decisions and annual operating plans. 
• Identifying opportunities within physical and digital gift cards, buyer and seller loyalty, card cobrands, digital wallets and developing new financial services products for Etsy’s members, and building and maintaining roadmaps that balance creating and collecting customer value
• Working closely and collaboratively with leaders across multiple functions (including product, engineering, operations, marketing, support, risk, compliance, research, analytics, and design) to align on a Payments strategy and goals to realize the full potential of our product development investments
