MAIN FUNCTION: Beverage Expert to lead the NA team responsible for developing finished turnkey products with the largest global Beverage customer for ADM Nutrition. This technical leader will manage multiple Scientists and Technicians to drive innovation, commercialize new wins, execute flawless project management, and participate in weekly customer engagements as we grow together. This leader will be responsible for representing the region on global connects and have a deep understanding of the customer brands and formulations, requiring outstanding communication, project management and organization. The position requires technical mastery in beverage development with the ability to remain agile, entrepreneurial, and strategic through project execution.

• Beverage Development – deep understanding of ingredients, functionality, stability, taste, processing impacts, packaging impacts, and flavor application to drive new wins

• Lead the customer-focused Beverage CD&D team through their daily project efforts in response to customer requests in NA and, occasionally, globally.
• Increase sales growth in the category by delivering disruptive innovation within the customer brands of focus.
• Collaborate closely with Global VP Sales lead, Marketing, and the Global VP CD&D Key Account lead to design & implement the strategy for short and long-term success with this customer
• Adjust priorities based on customer requirements, organizational needs, and resource allocation
• Develop, train and, coach Scientists
• Participate in high potential projects around the globe
• Develop a strong network of relationships across the globe in support of the customer brands
• Assess current ways of working to understand process and determine if improvements can be made for efficiency
• Ability to align support functions, such as Regulatory, Procurement, Lifecycle Management, Quality, Technical Services, Pilot Plant and others throughout project execution
• Partner with the Global VP Lead and Global Account VP to ensure weekly alignment on priorities within the NA region and areas of support required globally.

• Science Degree or higher (chemistry / food science preferred) at a 4-year University
• At least 15 years of development experience (Beverage preferred) with ability to demonstrate a competency in RTD, Alcohol, Hydration, Energy, and Protein based beverages
• Full working knowledge of beverage ingredients, including sweeteners, acidulants, buffers, colors, flavors, preservatives, Health & Wellness ingredients, etc.
• Good knowledge of manufacturing processes and delivery technologies
• Highly developed project management skills including a working knowledge of Microsoft office (Excel, PPT, WORD etc.)
• Project management, detail oriented and Multi-tasking skill
