The Cloud Infrastructure Architect is a key member of the Digital Engineering team. The role is focused on developing physical architecture, system blueprints and providing overall technical vision for cloud infrastructure. This role will define and drive implementation of Cloud strategy and adoption, feeding into wider digital unit strategic decision making and provide leadership to different stakeholders, technical teams as needed.

Job Duties

  • Cloud Strategy, governance & Implementation.
  • Leads the implementation of the digital unit's Cloud Infrastructure strategy.
  • Responsible for Olympus Cloud provisioning and supporting strategies.
  • Collaborates with Olympus DU leadership to determine appropriate strategies, architectures, implementation approaches, and strategies across cloud infrastructure.
  • Manages the relationships and contracts with key stakeholders and vendors.
  • Provides technical guidance to cloud engineers around Olympus.
  • Drive the business objectives of digital unit by ensuring best of class cloud infrastructure and continuously improve its processes and technology whilst ensuring compliance and security.
  • Provide oversight, strategic thought leadership, and innovative solutions towards maturing a cloud strategy, architecture, and service capabilities.
  • Ensure and align the cloud adoption plan to the needs around Olympus Digital Unit.
  • Work with stakeholders and other DU teams to align cloud strategy with business objectives and goals.
  • Create conceptual, logical, and physical design for cloud-based solutions for infrastructure and platforms.
  • Provide direction, leadership and guidance to implementation teams on the right usage, design patterns, best practices etc.
  • Learn and adopt new tools and techniques to increase performance, automation and scalability.
  • Be the solution ambassador for cloud solution, architecture, related technologies, and their interdependencies.
  • Ensure and maintain a healthy relationship within and outside DU team including stakeholders, peers, cloud vendors etc.
  • Provide governance recommendations and best practices for the entire life cycle around cloud implementation.

Job Qualifications

Required:

  • BS/BA degree, ideally in computer science, engineering, or comparable background.
  • Minimum of 12 years of experience in working with different infrastructure strategies and implementations.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience working with Microsoft Azure technologies.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in working on Multi cloud strategy preferably Azure and GCP.
  • Automation and orchestration experience with Visual Studio, Azure Resource Manager, Bicep, and Terraform.
  • Proficiency architecting Microsoft Azure infrastructure and topologies using LZ and cloud scale analytics.
