USSF International Affairs Staff

Delta Solutions and Strategies is seeking an international affairs SME to support the administration and management of service-level security cooperation programs, policies, strategies, plans, and guidance to global defense posture planning at its customer site in Arlington, VA.<br/>This position will support the USSF/S5P Global Partnership Directorate of the HQ US Space Force staff. <h3>What you will be doing:</h3> <ul> <li>Coordinate and synchronize USSF regional priorities and published guidance for allies and partners across pol-mil stakeholders.</li><li>A2.2.7.3. Plan and conduct Industry, Civil, and International engagements with Allies and Partners. Lead CRSOs execution of Space Engagement Talks, Space Working Groups, Space Cooperation Forum, Combined Space Operations Forums, and similar engagements.</li><li>Ensure service-specific security cooperation policies, respectively, are consistent with DoD and DAF security cooperation policies</li><li>Serve as service proponent for security cooperation to ensure that Space Force SC personnel have the requisite skills, training, resources, and capabilities to support security cooperation priorities</li><li>Administer service-specific components of Department of State Security Assistance programs as directed by SAF/IA</li><li>Provide service-specific representation to international space policy fora (i.e. NATO, UN).</li><li>Coordinate International Education and Training</li><li>Promulgate Security Cooperation (SC) policy; conduct Assessment, Monitoring, and evaluation, and inform SC workforce management</li><li>Coordinate with foreign embassies/attaches on Service-specific issues</li><li>Develop Service-specific strategy, doctrine, training, education, and proficiency standards for SFA capabilities.</li><li>Oversee and coordinate service-specific global defense posture policy and plans, and review all Global Defense Posture issues.</li><li>Plan and conduct Industry, Civil, and International engagements with Allies and Partners</li><li>Lead CRSOs execution of Space Engagement Talks, Space Working Groups, Space Cooperation Forum, Combined Space Operations Forums, and similar engagements</li><li>Inform International Affairs manpower management</li><li>Inform International Agreements</li><li>Incorporate Defense Institution Building (DIB) into Service Campaign Support Plans. Provide DIB training and utilize DIB-trained personnel to support DIB activities</li></ul> <h3>What you will need: </h3> <ul> <li>TS Clearance with SCI eligibility</li><li>Familiarity with international agreements and comfortable working with international partners</li><li>Familiarity with DoD interaction in the international arena to include coordination with embassies and foreign attachés</li><li>Preferred Skills:</li><li>Pentagon knowledge and understanding of Pentagon organizations</li><li>Embassy or attaché experience</li><li>Knowledge and familiarity with current Defense Department efforts in space</li><li>Staff experience supporting DoD agencies within the past 3 years</li><li>Familiarity with TMT and/or or other HQ staffing tools</li></ul> <h3>Required Education:</h3> <ul> <li>Bachelor’s Degree mandatory plus 10 years of experience in International Affairs or Operations, Policy or Planning field related to Space Defense.</li></ul> <h3>Required Experience: </h3> <ul> <li>Master’s Degree focused in international affairs, foreign policy, or a related field</li><li>15 years' experience supporting OSD, Service HQ or DoD Agency or IC staffs</li></ul>Delta Solutions &amp; Strategies offers a generous benefits package to include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, 401(k), PTO, paid holidays, parental, military and jury duty paid leaves. <br/>We are an Equal Opportunity Employer.
