As an Armed Security Professional supporting a public library location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, respond to security-related concerns, and provide exceptional customer service to patrons and staff. This driving post requires an armed guard card/license and a valid driver’s license. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to patrons, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at public library locations.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, coordinating with library personnel and public emergency services as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of library buildings, parking areas, entry points, and surrounding perimeters to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and maintain awareness of patron activity, reporting suspicious behavior, policy violations, hazards, and incidents according to site procedures.
• Prepare accurate incident reports and maintain required documentation related to patrols, responses, and security-related activities.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 1 year of armed security, law enforcement, or military experience.
• Possess a valid armed guard card or license.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
