Manager, Operations

KCH Transportation, a leading logistics and supply chain company, is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Manager, Operations to join our team. As a rapidly growing company with a strong presence in the industry, KCH Transportation takes pride in delivering exceptional service and reliable transportation solutions to our customers. Since our inception in 2004, we have expanded to six offices across the Southeast, serving clients with a wide range of freight needs including standard shipments, specialized freight, intermodal, and drayage.

As the Manager, Operations, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the daily operations, ensuring efficient and effective transportation services. You will collaborate closely with the executive team, drivers, sales team, and customer service representatives to provide exceptional service to our customers. Your deep understanding of logistics and supply chain processes, coupled with your excellent organizational and leadership skills, will be essential in driving our operations forward.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team of dispatchers, drivers, and other operational staff members
• Develop and implement efficient transportation plans, ensuring on-time delivery and cost-effectiveness
• Monitor and analyze key performance indicators to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions
• Maintain strong relationships with carriers and negotiate favorable rates and terms
• Oversee the scheduling and coordination of trucking activities, ensuring optimal utilization of resources
• Resolve operational issues and address customer concerns in a timely and effective manner
• Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or 3 years of working experience
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in transportation operations management
• Demonstrated knowledge of logistics and supply chain processes
• Strong leadership and people management skills
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities
• Proficient in using transportation management software and systems
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
