MISSION / SUMMARY:
Analytical support for all activities and processes of the Corporate Strategy department including 3-year strategic plans, M&A due diligence and integration, and special projects in support of the company’s long range plan objectives. Assist in developing presentations to executive management, Board of Directors, and external entities.
JOB FUNCTIONS: Job functions include but are not limited to the following.
- Must work within and adhere to the company’s core values of Integrity, Respect, Accountability, Relationships and Teamwork.
- Support Senior Vice President and Senior Director of Strategy & Business Development in execution of group responsibilities including but not limited to:
- Development of GPK’s portfolio strategy
- Development of Annual 3-year Long Range Plan
- Development of Senior Executive and Board of Directors materials
- Research target companies and prepare summaries.
- Coordinate and provide analysis / financial modeling for M&A due diligence and valuation.
- Maintain / develop complex financial models as needed.
- Engage in cross functional teamwork with Innovation, Investor Relations, Finance and Operations.
- Complete special projects as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
BACKGROUND / EXPERIENCE:
- Two plus years of Consulting, Corporate Finance, Investment Banking, or M&A Transactional Services experience.
- Paperboard Packaging Industry experience (ideal)
EDUCATION / KNOWLEDGE:
- Bachelor’s degree with major in Finance, Accounting or Business-related field required (will consider other degree fields for those who hold their MBA).
- MBA preferred.
