Job Description

The Indiana University Foundation is seeking a highly organized, reliable, and professional Donor Relations Associate for its Donor Relations Department in Bloomington. 

The Donor Relations Associate helps recognize donors for their contributions to the University’s mission and goals. There are many ways we show appreciation: through recognition letters, gifts, events and membership in IU’s university-wide recognition societies, and other methods of stewardship for VIP donors. The Donor Relations Associate will assess needs for these programs, strategize new methods of recognition, manage and execute the consecutive giving program, and staff annual recognition events and other projects in conjunction with the Donor Relations Manager.

Qualifications

This position has a flexible hybrid schedule (3+ Days on-site/week)

• Associate degree required; Bachelor’s degree preferred
• 1-2 years of experience in donor relations or development preferred
• Hospitality and/or customer service experience preferred

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Prompt and organized while managing multiple projects
• An excellent writer and editor with a strong attention to detail
• A clear communicator and attentive listener
• Discerning and adaptable as you interact with IUF constituents at all levels (University admin, donors, and faculty)
• Customer-service oriented: you’ll work in collaboration with and in service of other employees and donors
• Enthusiastic about a team environment and cross-training (being teachable and helping teach others is a must!)
• A creative problem-solver, excited to think about new ways to connect and show appreciation for donors
