Security & Surveillance - Observer

POSITION OVERVIEW

A Surveillance/Security observer provides an atmosphere in which all employees know that the company responds to and cares about their safety and security.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Provides an atmosphere in which all employees know that the company responds to and cares about their safety and security.
• Communicates in a manner that is open, honest, and responsive in all situations; to the extent authorized, provides information regarding the facility and surrounding area as requested by authorized personnel.
• Monitors entrances, exits, warehouse floor, vehicular travel, and parking areas.
• Provides video copies of incidents as requested by authorized personnel.
• Prepares logs or reports as required; writes or types reports or enters information in a computer using standard grammar.
• Observes and reports incidents or suspicious activity to their immediate supervisor, company management, life/safety personnel, or public safety authorities as appropriate for the circumstances, as required.
• Assists in the installation of surveillance hardware and/or software as directed by the Department Head, Systems Engineer, or Senior Systems Technician.
• Assumes roles in security as needed
• Valid guard card and driver's license required
• Weekends are required

2nd & 3rd Shift Available
