Your journey starts now—protect and innovate with MANTECH!MANTECH seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Model Based Systems Engineer (MBSE) to join our team working in the Washington D.C. Navy Yard. This will be a hybrid position requiring the employee to be onsite at least 1 time per week.
The Model Based Systems Engineer in this position will develop and maintain the Interface Control Documents (ICDs) for the Ship Self Defense System (SSDS) MK 2 to support system installations and upgrades on United States Aircraft Carriers and Amphibious ship platforms.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Develop interface control documents (ICDs) showing the interfaces between various components of the combat system on US Navy ships
Review existing ICDs and related drawings and provide comments on drawing accuracy
Interface with various Navy customers to obtain technical information needed to assist in ICD development and updating
Prepare related technical documentation such as reports and presentations to support ship system installations
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline
2+ years of experience with 2D CAD software in a military or DoD position OR an associate’s degree in a technical field and 5+ years of experience with 2D CAD software in a military or DoD position
Experience with Adobe Acrobat
Preferred Qualifications:
2+ years’ experience developing Installation Control Drawings (ICDs)/ Projected Class Baseline (PCB) drawings, Ship Installation Drawings (SIDs), or Combat System Operational Sequencing System (CSOSS)
Familiarity with Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) using Cameo software
Familiarity with Adobe Illustrator
Clearance Requirements:
Must be a U.S. Citizen and possess a current or active United States Government Secret security clearance.
Physical Requirements:
The person in this position must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.
