Administrative Assistant

Primary Purpose of Position: The primary purpose is to provide support to the Corporate Office staff.  This employee will answer telephone calls and relay messages to appropriate staff, co-ordinate outgoing and incoming mail, file, type and other office duties as assigned 

Work Schedule: This is a part time position with the work schedule being a twenty-hour work week.  A flexible schedule is required and dependent on the needs of the Corporate Office. Regular and predictable attendance is required to perform the duties of this position. 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities : This employee must have a general knowledge of general office processes and procedures.  This employee must have the ability to express ideas clearly and concisely and to plan and execute work effectively.  This person must have the ability to communicate in both oral and written form.  This employee must have the ability to work cooperatively, creatively, and productively as a member of a team.  Teamwork is an essential job function and is evaluated for both conduct and performance issues.  This employee must be able and willing to communicate with other team members in a clear, honest, and open manner.   This employee must be able to establish appropriate professional boundaries and relationships.  This person must have the ability to coordinate tasks with other staff and effectively resolve conflicts with other staff.  This individual should possess good interpersonal skills, including telephone and conversational skills.  The ability to utilize Microsoft programs, type with accuracy and speed, is essential to this job.
