Morgan Stanley Wealth Management (MSWM) Technology is the global technology department responsible for the design, development, delivery and support of the technical solutions behind the products and services used by the Morgan Stanley Wealth Management (MSWM) business. The department is comprised of 10 organizations: Sales, Banking & Corporate-Client Technology, Investment Products & Markets Technology, Client Reporting, Core Processing, Private and International Wealth Management Technology, Technology Integration Office, Enterprise Infrastructure & Production Management, Capital Markets Application & Data Services, Deployment Planning & Release Management, and the Chief Operating Office.
Client Platforms is a dynamic and fast-paced area within the Firm's WM Technology Division. The charter of this department is to develop Client-facing Websites and Mobile Applications. Working as a member of this team, the candidate will be responsible for supporting external client facing web and mobile applications in an open and collaborative environment.
We are seeking to hire a talented and motivated Business Analyst to be part of the Morgan Stanley Wealth Management Client Platforms Technology Team. The Client Platforms team is responsible for design, development, delivery and support of all Client Facing websites and applications. Will be a vital part of a dynamic team that will be responsible for leading technical analysis, design discussions and solution definition for digital platforms, including Morgan Stanley Online/Mobile, Morgan Stanley at Work, and E*TRADE. The candidate will report to Business Analyst Lead and will work closely with Digital Business Partners to understand scope of work, lead analysis & design and ensure projects are delivered on time.
What you’ll do in the role:
- Be part of an Agile Fleet or squad and participate in all phases of the Agile lifecycle, including working with the Product Owner to understand business requirements, refining/grooming JIRA user stories, leading and coordinating design discussions and end to end testing.
- Analyze functional and technical requirements, document with use cases, wireframes, data flow diagrams, sample reports, or other similar artifacts.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders from business, technology, UX, risk, legal & compliance to elicit requirements
- Acting as the interface and advocate between the business users and the development teams.
- Proactively identify and manage issues to full resolution and providing status updates on progress.
- Developing into a subject matter expert for MSO/M and E*TRADE Technology applications Conduct review sessions with the various stakeholders on the artifacts
- Highlight risks/issues during the SDLC
What you’ll bring to the role:
- Highly motivated individual with prior business analysis experience in a Digital Platform
- Critical thinking and translation of business needs into technology solutions
- Good problem solving skills
- Excellent root cause analysis skills
- Experience with metrics gathering, tracking, and reporting
- Self-starter with ability to analyze vague project requests and clarify into specific tasks, next steps, and deliverables.
- Excellent written/oral communication skills and listening skills and an ability to present ideas concisely.
- Working Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft Visio, JIRA & Confluence.
- Flexible, highly adaptable and excellent team player as project evolves.
- Credibility and confidence interacting with senior management, business partners, branch offices and the technology team across the full lifecycle of a project.
