We have an exciting opportunity for a Building Mechanical Designer/Bim Lead to join our team, if you are an individual who takes pride in delivering exceptional work and are looking to expand your Building Mechanical Design and Bim Lead craft under the supervisions of industry leading professionals. You will work directly Senior Building Mechanical Engineering leaders for the design and production of Building mechanical systems in the Wastewater industry as well as with Design Technology leaders in developing new content and workflows used to improve efficiency and accuracy of construction documents. In this role you will be working closely with the building mechanical leaders to develop, document and train staff in BIM processes for the building mechanical industry and Brown and Caldwell.

In this role, you will be working with senior building mechanical engineers to develop plumbing and HVAC design documents utilizing Autodesk Revit software. Our ideal candidate will have experience in design coordination of multidiscipline models, HVAC and Plumbing layout, design and development of contract drawings. In addition, you will be working with the Design Technology Lead assisting in the set-up of projects using client and/or BC internal BIM standards, assisting the development of Revit Content, Revit workflows and training others in the building mechanical design discipline using Revit.
Responsibilities:
- Execute Building Mechanical work on wastewater and water utilities Municipal and industrial facilities including treatment plant, pumping stations, and wastewater office and laboratory designs.
- Develop 3D models, drawings, and design deliverables using REVIT software.
- Work as part of a BIM/CAD support team to achieve consistent results.
- Assist in creating initial REVIT Project setup with workflow documents and Initiate Model for each project and prepare for production team.
- Assist in development of Revit Content for Building Mechanical following company standards.
- This role may include field activities such as site investigations and construction support
Desired Skills and Experience:
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in building mechanical design using Revit Software.
- Working knowledge of building mechanical design workflows, production cycle, and priorities.
- Engineering Degree, 5+ years of experience in professional environment. (4 years’ experience will be substituted for a degree)
- A minimum of 5 years of professional Autodesk products use with expert level knowledge of BIM processes and design using REVIT software
- Proficiency in REVIT and AutoCAD
- Eager to support staff with positive attitude, passion, and patience.
Salary:
Location A: $78,000 - $106,000
