Position Overview:
The Staff Accountant is responsible for providing accounting and related support to ensure effective, efficient, and accurate financial information for Brunswick Boat Group Shared Services. Shared Service functions include Accounts Payable, Cash Management, Credit, Accounts Receivable, Fixed Assets, General Ledger, Cash Management, T&E Expense, Financial Close and Governance
This position will work cross-functionally and interact with multiple levels of the organization to ensure accurate and timely processing of financial transactions and submission of results. The position is with Brunswick Boat Group’s Headquarters, located in Knoxville, TN.

Essential Functions:
- Responsible for full cycle Accounts Receivable function including managing deposits, posting of cash, processing of miscellaneous invoices and refunding credit balances.
- Perform monthly closing activities, ensuring accuracy of month end results and compliance with all internal and external deadlines.
- Process inter-company transactions and confirm related balances for domestic and global business partners. Research and resolve related variances.
- Support other Finance Shared Services responsibilities.
- Complete variance analysis and provide management with ad hoc reports as requested.
- Compile and analyze financial information to prepare journal entries, complete assigned reconciliations of general ledger accounts and prepare financial reports)
- Utilize Generally Accepted Accounting Principles to ensure compliance with regulatory reporting requirements and internal controls.
- Evaluate and make appropriate improvements to accounting processes ensuring that practices are efficient, effective, and support the overall goals of the organization.
- Support the internal SOX compliance activities with various monitoring and maintenance functions as well as assisting with SOX documentation and oversight.
- Support internal and external audits by consolidating, reviewing, and submitting data from across the business, as well as responding to inquiries as necessary.
- Assist divisions and provide training, as necessary.
- Provide excellent customer service to internal and external customers.
- Work on special projects and other duties, as assigned.

Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required
- 4 years of relevant work experience in accounting required
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel required
- High standards for attention to detail, accuracy, efficiency and analytical skills
- Exceptional interpersonal skills with a focus on rapport building, listening, and questioning skills in a team oriented collaborative environment
- Well organized, positive outlook, reliable and ability to adapt to a rapidly changing environment
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Preferred Qualifications:
- Accounting experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
- Experience with Oracle Suite, Business Objects, Office 365 and AS400 a plus
Working Conditions:
- Hybrid (in the office 2-3x per week)
The anticipated pay range for this position is $48,800 - $77,000 annually. The actual base pay offered will vary and could be filled at a higher grade depending on multiple factors, including job-related knowledge/skills, relevant experience, business needs, and geographic location. In addition to base pay, this position is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus.
