About this opportunity
You will join the BCCM Risk Reduction Plan, which is a team located within the largest business area in Nordea: Group Business Support (GBS). GBS drives optimisation of our operational efficiencies, letting the other Business Areas focus on what they do best, to serve our customers and drive income growth initiatives.
As the Team Leader, you will step into a central and critical role, leading the central Programme Management Office (PMO). This is where your expertise is needed to contribute with a solid and strategic risk management approach, which will directly impact on the financial performance, efficiency, competitiveness and overall success of Nordea.
What you’ll be doing:
- Be responsible for the delivery of PMO services to support efficient delivery of the programme
- Make and implement operational plans and set concrete targets for the team
- Implement and optimise processes and facilitate continuous improvements
- Provide timely and well-documented feedback, coach, assess performance, hold direct reports accountable for their performance
- Communicate and show direction to enable direct reports to cooperate and execute
The role is based in Stockholm; Copenhagen; Helsinki.

You have strong knowledge of the financial services and experience in managing non-financial risks and risks related to BCCM and are looking to challenge yourself in a high-paced & complex environment.
To succeed in this role, we believe that you:
- Proficient in non-financial Risk Management, regulation, and guidelines in the banking sector
- Have superior communication skills, and expertise in managing a large variety of stakeholders
- Demonstrate success in leading a PMO, leading programmes / large projects, navigating through complexity and ensuring timely and precise delivery
- Have a strong risk and compliance mindset, coupled with a proactive approach in communicating clear and qualified requests to stakeholders
- Have expertise in delivering a strong business result and driving the functional excellence
- Have structured mind-set, being able to see the big picture, as well as a strong attention to relevant details
- Are able to lead the PMO and a team PMO specialists dedicated to delivering strong results
- Have lexibility and ability to work within dynamic environment
Your experience and background:
- Experience in leading a PMO or large projects and preferably having line leadership experience
- Familiarity with Business Continuity and Crisis Management is considered advantageous
- Proficiency in navigating through complexity, managing different kinds of stakeholders and strong communication skills
- You take responsibility for delivering a strong business result and driving the functional excellence
- Act as a change leader to ensure successful programme delivery and be part of the transition of capabilities to the line organisation
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management and collaborative skills
