Upward Bound Algebra II Instructor

Wilkes University invites applicants for an open Algebra II high school teaching position in the Upward Bound Program for the summer session. Upward Bound is a federally funded Trio Program, which provides support to participants in their preparation for college and ultimately, in their higher education pursuits.

The successful candidate is responsible for implementing the academic component of the Program by means of teaching core content to a small group of high school level students in each class period. A Bachelor's degree in Education, Mathematics, and/or a related field is required.

This is a part-time, temporary position with a competitive hourly wage. Program dates run from September 26th through December 12th. Classes are held Thursday evenings from 6:30pm to 8:20pm. The candidate will be responsible for a single, one hour period.
