Compensation
$85,000-$100,000 Per year, plus benefits
Job Summary
The Maintenance Supervisor will be responsible for assisting directing and coordinating maintenance of rolling stock equipment along with scheduling and planning equipment for repair and maintenance. They are also in charge of maintaining and ordering parts, lubricants, and supplies for maintaining equipment in assigned work areas. The Maintenance Supervisor must also ensure that all direct report employees have the proper personal protection equipment and attend weekly safety meetings.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist in managing inventory levels of materials, tools, equipment, parts in the shop and field operations
- Assist in maintaining equipment maintenance log
- Conduct regular stock checks and assist in maintaining accurate records of inventory
- Help oversee the ordering and procurement of necessary supplies and equipment
- Support the Shop Manager in daily operations, ensuring that the shop runs smoothly and efficiently
- Assist in maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work environment in the shop
- Help coordinate the scheduling of repairs and maintenance for shop equipment and tools
- Attend operations meetings
- Manage the Preventive Maintenance team to ensure the required servicing
- Ensure organization of the shop/warehouse and constantly practice good housekeeping and best practices
- Coordinate with the Equipment Division on scheduled maintenance and DMV records
- Work directly with the Shop Manager on employees’ schedules
- Work directly with the Shop Manager on maintaining an effective Preventive Maintenance Program for the rolling stock equipment to optimize cost controls
- Work with SMCC mechanics and shop personnel for potential equipment repairs
- Assist Shop Manager and Leadman with daily inspection of work areas
- Responsible for the receiving and shipping of materials
Other duties as assigned
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in supply chain management, business administration, or a related field is a plus
- Previous experience in a parts department, warehouse, or shop environment, preferably in the construction industry
This position may require overtime depending on workload and project timelines
