You’ll be joining the OANDA engineering team that owns the backend of a renowned Trading Platform used by thousands of customers to trade billions of dollars in volume on our platform every day. You will be working with modern C++ to build high-performing and reliable solutions</p> <p> As our Senior Software Engineer you will:</p> <ul> <li>Integrate several In-house Trading platforms</li> <li>Build services to handle huge amounts of data/events and integrate with multiple internal and external systems in real-time.</li> <li>Design and build cutting-edge financial solutions for our customers and support Oanda’s operations.</li> <li>Write well-crafted, well-tested, readable code</li> <li>Participate in code reviews and on-call rotations</li> </ul> <p><strong>Qualifications</strong></p> <ul> <li>Solid application development experience using C++.</li> <li>Strong understanding of OOP, Design Patterns, and SQL.</li> <li>Hands-on experience in designing, building, improving, and operating high-performance, highly available, and scalable distributed systems in a cloud environment (GCP).</li> <li>Have the desire to develop and maintain automated tests, underlying frameworks, and their integration into CI/CD pipelines.</li> <li>Experience with Kubernetes &amp; Docker.</li> <li>Understanding of Infrastructure as Code.</li> <li>Strong collaboration and communication skills and fluency in English (written and spoken) </li> </ul> <p><strong>Nice to have:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Experience in Financial Services.</li> <li>Database knowledge using MongoDB and/or DB2</li> <li>Experience with Kafka.</li> <li>Experience with Google Cloud Platform.</li> <li>Experience with Microservices architecture and Event Driven Development.</li> </ul> <p>OANDA Global Corporation is a diverse and global team with offices around the world.
