Asphalt Plant Laborer - Hollister, MO

Capital Materials is looking to fill an Asphalt Plant Laborer position, for the 2025 season, at our Hollister, MO location. 

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Daily maintenance and cleaning of asphalt plant equipment and plant site
• Operate skid-steer, dump truck, shovels, rakes, broom, and/or other hand tools
• Daily inspection of skid-steer, dump truck, and other plant assets
• Assist drivers in unloading liquid asphalt cement into designated tanks
• Work closely with skilled plant operators to ensure seamless daily production
• Assist plant team with minor and major plant repairs as needed
• Assist in maintaining an organized spare parts inventory for the asphalt plant
• Cross-train on other job functions at the plant
• Adhere to OSHA rules and regulations and wear proper safety equipment.
• Perform other job responsibilities as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS

• General knowledge of construction materials, tools, and equipment
• Must be punctual, have a strong work ethic, and maintain a good attendance record
• Must be able to work as a team on all projects
• Welding experience is preferred, but not required
• Lift/move up to 50 lbs.
• Work outdoors in all weather conditions
• Work overtime, nights, weekends, as needed
• Stand for extended periods of time
• Reliable transportation
• Willing to travel/work out of town
• Must pass a pre-employment physical, drug/alcohol screen, and background check
