PfizerAbout the role
ROLE SUMMARY
Pfizer’s entire operational ecosystem and its ability to deliver therapies is undeniably dependent on information technology systems and in particular, the applications and data assets that service each of the therapeutic and enabling business functions. Digital Hosting Solutions represents the collection of infrastructure technologies both on-premises and in the cloud that service those applications and data assets, ultimately enabling Pfizer’s core mission to deliver healthcare solutions for patients.
The Linux, UNIX, Discipline Lead is responsible for the design, engineering, operationalization, and continuous improvement of Pfizer’s global portfolio for Linux, Solaris, RHEL, SUSE, Amazon Linux 2, J2E and Webhosting solutions. This role is a subject matter expert in this field with a broad range of general IT knowledge in a global and diverse enterprise setting.
The role will have primary engineering responsibility over Linux, Solaris, RHEL, SUSE, and J2E Middleware, Execution of engineering, Service Life Cycle management, and Operational processes for design, development, qualification, and transition of solutions from concept to production. The Linux, UNIX, Discipline Lead is an experienced and influential colleague who will guide the members of the Linux, UNIX, Discipline Lead and build a strong community around practice/discipline competency.
