Your Responsibilities
As a Product Engineer Commercial Mowing for JD Turf Care - Fuquay located in Fuquay Varina, NC you will:
- Analyze assignments and determine engineering specifications which must be fulfilled for complex problems or projects of moderate scope.
- Produce and/or evaluate possible design solutions to improve cost, quality and performance based on specialized knowledge of engineering applications. This may include possible involvement of other functional engineers, supply management and/or supplier personnel.
- Compile and furnish necessary information (engineering decisions and reports of pertinent design analyses data) to document the design solution required for building of prototypes and adoption of the design with possible involvement of other functional engineers, supply management and/or supplier personnel.
- Perform engineering calculations and collaborate on analysis, collaborate on testing, and execute the design

What Skills You Need
- 3 or more years using computer aided design and/or engineering tools. - Performs more complex functions, understands principles, may teach others
- 3 or more years understanding of engineering principles as they relate to the company product - Performs more complex functions, understands principles, may teach others.
- 3 or more years of product engineering experience in off road commercial vehicles or automotive
- 3 or more years of electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical system engineering
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate, communicate, and drive consensus with multiple different teams simultaneously
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Knowledge of GD&T and tolerance stack tools
- Technical ability to design and diagnose electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems (15%)
- Ability to learn, then use workflow and PDM systems
What Makes You Stand Out
- Advanced degree in engineering and/or business
- Skill in using company information systems and processes. - Has a good understanding of the principles and can independently use the knowledge.
- Fundamental understanding of machine forms relevant to the specific job assignment and Company division/unit. Knowledge/familiarity with machines manufactured by competitors
- Knowledge of the Enterprise Product Delivery Process (EPDP), Enterprise Technology Development process (ETDP) and/or Enterprise Customer Acquisition Process (ECAP)
- Systems Engineering Certificate / Degree or actively enrolled in a Systems Engineering certificate
- Understanding of the Deere Systems Engineering Methodology
- Experience with electromechanical systems
- Experience with utilizing Design for Six Sigma tools.
- Experience with Design for Manufacturing techniques.
- Financial acumen such as cash flow analysis and return calculations
Education
Ideally you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering (Mechanical, Agricultural, Systems)
