As a Security Professional - Screener - Overnight Shift in Uniondale, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more.

As a Screener with Allied Universal in a logistics and distribution location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help create a secure environment for all personnel and visitors. Pay Rate: $17.05 / Hour

What You’ll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Perform screening procedures for individuals and/or packages entering or exiting the logistics and distribution location, following site-specific policies and protocols.
• Provide customer service by assisting visitors, employees, and delivery personnel with inquiries and directions as needed.
• Carry out security-related procedures and respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Help to deter unauthorized access and/or prohibited items through attentive observation and adherence to established screening processes.
• Document and report any irregularities, incidents, or suspicious activities according to Allied Universal and site-specific guidelines.
• Assist with emergency response activities when appropriate, maintaining communication with site management and Allied Universal personnel.
• Maintain a professional presence while monitoring entry and exit points, contributing to the overall security-related efforts at the logistics and distribution location.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
