Business Intelligence Support (Contractor)

Contract RoleHours: 20/week Duration: 3 months with the possibility of extension WHAT IS INDIEGOGO? We invented crowdfunding to make ideas GO -  from concept to reality, from innovator to backer, from campaign launch, and beyond. We connect the right backers with products, ideas, and innovations they care about -  before they go mainstream. Why does that matter? It doesn't matter how large our backer community is (20 million+ btw) if they aren’t the “right” audience for our campaigners. By committing to accelerating innovation, we rally, excite, and connect target backers with innovators right out of the gate.

YOU WILL:

• Interview stakeholders to assess user BI needs 
• Document data dictionary with consistent definitions of company KPIs
• Document ERD for key data models 
• Build out end-user data competency and training materials 
• Clean up and refresh company-wide Looker dashboards and create more self-serve models and explores (either individually or directing a BI analyst) 
• Produce an assessment of the current BI tech stack, logical layers, and ETL processes
• Create a forward-looking strategic plan for the BI function 
• Ad hoc analyses, examples: 
• Create Revenue forecasting models 
• Improve or build new A/B split test analysis Update traffic metrics to be session-based instead of event-based
• Update traffic channel source logic - build out first-touch and last-touch models, incorporate data from Referring URL 

YOU HAVE:

• Experience with AWS Glue, Redshift and Looker
• Expert in SQL 
• Expert in database modeling and data architecture 
• Expert in dashboard creation and visualization 
• Experience transforming BI from a service model to a business-impacting function Motivated, proactive, and self-driven 
• Ability to work autonomously and manage multiple projects simultaneously
