About the role
Your Impact as Electrical/Automation Specialist - Exeter, PA
Well versed individual within the machine controls environment that can create ladder and HMI programs from the start, document electrical drawings from the programs and must be able to work alone or with others. Well versed in a variety of VFD’s, DC drives, encoders, and motors. Exemplifies safety and standardization within these environments and understands machine safety and processes. Assesses the ability to develop SOP’s. Works with voltages ranging from 5 to 700 VDC and 24 to 600 VAC. This position is vital to machine safety, processes, efficiency, predictability, and profitability.
The following positions report to Regional Maintenance Manager. This position is located in Exeter, PA.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure that repairs are made in a timely manner without going over budget.
- Install or convert new drives and do calculations on conversions (elec.).
- Comply with all local, state, and federal electrical codes.
- Identify problem areas with machinery and building maintenance in the electrical/electronic areas.
- Stay abreast of new technologies which may be implemented to reduce costs or increase productivity.
- Justify and cost all capital projects (electrical and mechanical).
- Install or convert new drives and do calculations on conversions (elec.).
- Calculate cost effectiveness between doing work in-house or outsourcing.
- Identify weaknesses in workforce and find training to enhance abilities.
- Implement PM schedule.
- Introduce predictive maintenance program.
- Understanding of SIL levels within the PLC environment regarding Machine Safety.
- Identify P&ID Diagrams and Schematics
- Knowledge in SCADA and other data collection systems.
- Other duties as needed.
