The Manager of Project Managers is responsible for the day-to-day project management activities and oversees the project managers; directing, and monitoring their work, and developing their performance to ensure they meet individual goals and department objectives.

  • Communicate effectively with customers to identify needs and evaluate alternative business solutions.
  • Retain a professional/friendly business relationship with the customer, vendors, and internal associates.
  • Continually seek opportunities to increase customer satisfaction and deepen customer relationships.
  • Develop and improve processes that enhance the customer experience
  • Act as point of contact for commercial projects-related issues.
  • Provide a leadership role in promoting fair and honest dealings with vendors.
  • Foster and maintain positive, effective business relationships with internal and external customers and other third parties at all levels and project phases.
  • Develop and strengthen key vendor relationships
  • Accurately forecast and analyze revenue, profitability, margins, bill rates, and utilization. · Understand our pricing model and billing procedures.
  • Recognize and facilitate opportunities to grow the project’s profitability. · Manage project budgets while ensuring timely and accurate invoicing from vendors and customers.
  • Manage customer orders from the time the purchase order is secured through acknowledgment to final billing including expediting, change orders, and billing resolution.
  • Negotiate change order cost with vendor and sell with customer.
  • Work with Estimators to understand the requirements of the project to ensure that work proceeds on-spec and help facilitate a smooth transition with the customer.
  • Where project control is in jeopardy, create contingency plans with appropriate input from key team members and implement a revised project schedule, scope or budget promptly.
  • Ensure all processes of the project development and schedules are completed in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Generate and maintain change orders for the customers and vendors in a timely fashion. 
  • Notify the customer and/or project team when the scope of a project changes
