About The Opportunity

This position will assist in daily maintenance of plant equipment and building including safety, quality, productivity, and communication activities and drive positive results in key business metrics.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

•  Maintain a safe work environment and support safety culture and initiatives
• Make effective decisions to decrease machine down time during breakdowns and ensure work is completed in a safe and complete manner
• Assist employees with technical troubleshooting
• Assign tasks to shift personnel as needed
• Enter work orders in EAM as needed
• Ability to work in a production-based environment with moving equipment and people
• Ability to read and understand machine part lists, preventative maintenance manuals, schematics and blueprints
• Proficient computer skills including the ability to navigate and perform needed duties on CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System)
• Ability to use rules, calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments
• Ability to operate equipment including machines, alignment tools, high lifts, forklifts, boom lifts, scissors lifts, etc.
• Support and drive continuous improvement initiatives and lean activities
• Daily shift handoff communication with Supervisor and Manager at beginning and end of shift
• Perform other duties as assigned by management/supervisors
• Current ERT member or join Emergency Response Team

Knowledge, Skills, Or Abilities Desired

• Reviews and analyzes reports and data and makes recommendations to improve.
• Ability to thoroughly troubleshoot and communicate with machine support services if needed

• Ability to effectively work effectively with a team and resolve conflict when necessary
• Ability to interact and communicate effectively with coworkers at all levels
• Ability to perform all computer functions as they pertain to the job

Qualifications Desired

• 5 years’ experience in similar maintenance environment
• 2 years post high school education
• Corrugated manufacturing experience
• Special Boiler License desired

Compensation & benefits:

• Safety sensitive position - ability to work in a constant state of alertness and a safe manner
• Ability to work overtime and weekends as required based upon the needs of the business
  • The starting wage for this position is $37.86/hour, with opportunities for advancement.
