The Business Development Representative (BDR) will assist the Director of Business Development in entering, tracking, and reporting on sales leads within Sales CRM tool. This position will serve as a resource to the external Sales teams during the dealer acquisition period, providing support with generating sales presentation materials, organizing campaigns, and researching dealerships and competitors. The BDR will confirm availability of sales targets to avoid duplicate efforts and conflict, assist in maintaining a database of information on competitor programs and insurance platforms, and assist the Director of Business Development as it relates to secondary functions of the department including but not limited to supporting APEX agencies, facilitating virtual and in-person meetings, and general Global Administrators projects.

Essential Functions:

  • Maintain Sale’s CRM tool. Track status and progress, including adherence to sales protocols. Ensure all data collected is current and accurate using all available resources. Verify new/working/closed deals are updated in Vander and Edge and the information is correct. Generate reports weekly to the Sales Management Team.
  • Leverage CRM and Vander data to confirm the availability of sales target to avoid duplicate Sales efforts and conflicts.
  • Utilize existing templates to generate consistent and compliant dealer proposal materials throughout all sales channels.
  • Provide support to owned and independent agencies, including responding to inquiries, providing information on products and services, and helping to resolve any issues or concerns they may have.
  • Conduct dealership and competitor research to ascertain necessary knowledge for Sales to leverage against competitors during presentations.
  • Manage a database of information on competitor programs and insurance platforms to inform and direct sales leads initiatives.
  • Assist Director of Business Development as it relates to the facilitation of virtual and in-person sales meetings.
  • Provide sales support for Global Administrators in relation to pricing and marketing inquiries from agents, presentation materials, and general projects.
  • Assist the Director of Business Development as it relates to any and all projects and required tasks.

Education and Qualification Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree required. Background in Business is preferred.
  • Strong computer skills including proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly with Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Highly organized and detail oriented with strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Well-developed time management skills and the ability to successfully manage multiple demands.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written.

Work Environment and Physical Requirements:

  • This position may be performed remotely and requires a quiet, dedicated workspace free from distractions.
  • Ability to travel to other office locations and off-site meetings, with some overnight stays, as needed.
  • Vision acuity required to include close vision, color vision, distant vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
  • Ability to grasp objects such a telephone or computer mouse, finger dexterity to use a keyboard, calculator, and standard office equipment
  • Ability to walk, stand, reach with hands and arms; stoop kneel, crouch, and lift up to 25 pounds.
  • Ability to frequently sit for long periods of time.
  • Ability to hear and talk, both in person and by phone.
  • Ability to spend extended hours in front of a computer screen
