Performs a variety of tasks, primarily in Custodial/Janitorial Services, related to maintaining the University's facilities. Hours for this position are Monday through Friday, 4:30 am to 1:00 pm.Job Description
Essential Duties:
- Sweeps and mops rooms and hallways; dusts and performs general cleaning of rooms; Cleans windows
- Vacuums and shampoos carpets; may strip and wax floors; cleans and sanitizes restrooms
- Picks up trash, debris and/or litter from University buildings and grounds; empties trash receptacles
- May assist with events
- Assists with maintaining safe indoor/outdoor surfaces including during inclement weather
- May pick up and/or deliver equipment and supplies
- May perform cleaning/washing duties in dining halls
- May assist with other related campus needs as assigned
Minimum Qualifications:
- Requires a high school diploma or GED
- No experience required
- May require driver's license
- This position requires the ability to successfully pass a Post-Offer Pre-Employment (POPES) physical
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Knowledge of the use of cleaning equipment/materials
- Ability to understand and follow directions
