The Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) organization is seeking a Production Engineering Manager in San Antonio, TX to support the Mobility, Surveillance and Bombers team.

In this role you will lead a team of manufacturing engineers and planners for the Executive Transport  Services & Support (ETS&S) Maintenance Repair and Overhaul in San Antonio. By leveraging your expertise and innovative thinking, you will guide your team in identifying inefficiencies, developing robust solutions, and implementing process improvements that enhance productivity and quality ensuring customers’ needs are met.

Position Responsibilities

  • Manage employees performing engineering and technical activities in Production Engineering.
  • Develop and execute project and process plans, implementing policies and procedures.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with customers, stakeholders, and team members.
  • Oversee and approve technical approaches, products, and processes.
  • Develops relationships with manufacturing and quality teams
  • Promotes and maintains a safe and healthy work environment
  • Manage, develop, and motivate employees to achieve high performance.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite in San Antonio, TX.

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement.
  • 5+ years’ production engineering experience.
  • Experience leading teams in a formal and /or informal leadership role.
  • Experience in a role that required excellent communication, project management, presentation, and facilitation skills.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Experience with large-scale production improvement implementations.
  • Coaching, guiding, and leading production improvements.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to work across multiple groups and functions.

This is a 1st shift position.

Summary pay range: $141,100 – 190,900
