The Role

The Experience Team owns the entire developer and customer-facing journey at Eigen Labs — from onboarding in our developer docs, to restaking in our Marketplace app, to managing workloads and payments in our new Portal dashboard for EigenCloud. As a Staff Software Engineer, you will lead technical initiatives across these products, ensuring they’re performant, scalable, intuitive, and delightful to use.

You will work closely with product managers, designers, and other engineers to bring new features from concept to launch, mentor junior engineers, and help set the technical direction for the team. This is a high-impact role with ownership over critical user-facing infrastructure that touches every EigenLayer developer and staker.

This is a full-time position that is fully remote or located with the largely Seattle-based team.

What You Will Do

• Lead design and implementation of major features across the Marketplace and Portal apps.

• Scope projects and create accurate delivery timelines for high-visibility initiatives.

• Mentor and guide junior engineers through code reviews, architecture discussions, and pairing sessions.

• Collaborate with product, design, and other engineering teams to deliver seamless end-to-end developer experiences.

• Maintain high engineering standards for performance, reliability, scalability, and security.

• Contribute to shared UI libraries, internal tooling, and developer documentation improvements.

• Proactively identify and address technical debt to improve long-term velocity and maintainability.

What You Will Bring

• 6+ years of professional software engineering experience, including at least 2 years in a staff-level role.

• Strong full-stack skills with expertise in TypeScript/JavaScript, React, Node.js, and related modern frameworks.

• Experience leading technical projects from architecture through deployment.

• Product-focused mindset, with a history of building user-facing applications that balance technical and UX excellence.

• Understanding of system design principles for scalable, high-performance applications.

• Familiarity with crypto/web3 technologies, including APIs, wallets, and blockchain interaction patterns.

• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a distributed team environment.

Bonus Points For:

• Experience at developer tooling companies, SaaS platforms, or cloud dashboard products.

• Contributions to open-source projects in web3 or developer tools.

• Background in marketplaces or payment systems.

The target salary range for this role is $220,000–$260,000 USD. The listed range reflects compensation for candidates located in U.S. Tier 1 markets and may vary
