What are we looking for

 

At Stone Systems (www.stone-systems.com) we are looking for a Team Lead for our Shop located in Albuquerque, NM, who will have the opportunity to work in a multinational environment, in full expansion, surrounded by numerous challenging projects that you can be part of.

What you will do

 

As a Team Leader you will be responsible for assisting the Production Manager with the operations and flow of production in the shop on a designated function. This position is considered the expert and trainer in their designated function and can have specific responsibilities amongst the workers in their area to make sure they are following the process.

Job Expectations:

• Responsible for assisting the Production Manager with the rhythm and flow of the production floor.
• Must oversee and train peers to ensure proper execution of the specific task.
• Reports any issues regarding the work or with the employees to the Production Manager.
• Follow preventative maintenance procedures on equipment and report any operating difficulties if applicable.
• Ensure operators are working according to our Health and Safety Standards.
• Acts as the backup to the operators when they are absent.
• Provides the daily cut schedule to the operators.
• Properly unloads, transports and stores material.
• Able to detect colors and ensure slabs are properly labeled.
• Must be able to operate overhead cranes, properly use A Frames, Electronic Carts and other equipment as needed.
• Other duties as assigned by the Production Manager

What you need to succeed

Professional Experience

Desired:

•            Experience in fabricating Marble, Granite and Quartz

•            Experience in Construction, Industrial and Manufacturing fields

•            Experience operating a forklift:

 

Knowledge

Required:

•            Basic knowledge in math (adding, subtracting, measurements, etc)

•            Basic knowledge in maintenance

 

Skills

Required:

•            Ability to lift and carry up to 40lbs.

•            Ability to wear a respirator and stand for 8 hours or more a day.

Education

Required:

•            High School Diploma/GED

 

This job requires intermittent periods during which continuous physical exertion is required, such as walking, standing, stooping, climbing, lifting material or equipment, some of which may be heavy or uncomfortable.

Wage Range:

The starting hourly range for this position is $21-$24.

Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
