Job Title: Senior DevOps Engineer

Location: Bothell, WA (Onsite)

Experience Required:

  • 10 years as a DevOps Engineer with a focus on telemetry, infrastructure, and security.

Required Skills:

  • CI/CD (Build & Deployment)
  • Kubernetes / Docker
  • iOS Build & Deployment
  • Production Support & Monitoring
  • Observability / Monitoring Tools
  • Security
  • Nice to have AWS

Key Responsibilities:

  • Expertise in using telemetry tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack, TICK, Influx, Splunk, Hygeia, and custom solutions.
  • Proficient in SQL and capable of selecting the right telemetry based on the audience, with an understanding of L1 to L7 telemetry levels.

Technical Skills:

  • Some experience with iOS development and Swift.
  • Experience with Mobile Device Management (MDM) tools.
  • Strong knowledge and experience in microservices and container orchestration using Docker, Marathon/Mesos, Kubernetes/EKS, Fargate.

Tools & Processes:

  • Proficient in logging and monitoring tools like ELK, Splunk, Prometheus, Grafana, CloudWatch.
  • Experience with configuration management tools (Chef, Puppet, Salt, Ansible) and infrastructure provisioning tools (Terraform, CloudFormation).
  • CI/CD pipeline setup and management using tools like Jenkins and Bamboo.

API & Systems Management:

  • Familiarity with API standards such as Swagger and PlantUML.
  • Experience in the software project life cycle, including designing, supporting, and deploying systems with Cassandra, Kafka, DynamoDB.

Development & Security:

  • Capable of building and implementing new development tools and infrastructure.
  • Experience in integrating scanning tools (SAST, DAST) with CI/CD pipelines and resolving vulnerabilities.
  • Ensure systems remain secure against cybersecurity threats.

Operational Tasks:

  • Perform root cause analysis for production and NPE errors; resolve pipeline issues.
  • Conduct true-up activities and quarterly server patching.
  • Handle Taapsec requests, application, and API onboarding.

Collaboration & Support:

  • Proficiency with GitLab workflows and strong AWS knowledge.
  • Provide production support and ensure effective monitoring and observability.
  • Build and maintain dashboards for system performance monitoring.

    The base salary range for this position is $91,457 - $137,186, plus incentives that align with individual and company performance. Actual salaries will vary based on work location, qualifications, skills, education, experience, and competencies.
