Job Description:
The Logistics/Shipper will be a key contributor on a small, high-impact team. This role is primarily responsible for shipping and receiving activities and will be cross-trained across all logistics functions to support operational flexibility and efficiency.
Manage day-to-day shipping operations, including packaging, labeling, and coordinating freight pickups with freight forwarders
Pack products for customer shipments and prepare all required documentation to ensure export compliance
Receive and process production materials, expense items, RMAs (Returned Material Authorizations), and virtual inventory items
Participate in cross-functional initiatives focused on efficiency improvements, cost reduction, inventory optimization, inventory turns, and quality enhancement
Collaborate effectively across business functions and interface with all levels of the organization
Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure operational goals and performance targets are met
Identify operational issues and provide initial recommendations for corrective actions to management
Support additional projects, duties, and cross-training initiatives as assigned
Requirements/Qualifications:
Essential Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent years of relevant experience
3 -5 years of industry experience in warehousing, shipping & receiving, and distribution operations
Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience using UPS and FedEx online shipping systems
Experience with international shipping and freight forwarding, including familiarity with export regulations; prior Dangerous Goods certification preferred or willingness to obtain certification
Experience filing AES (Automated Export System) documentation for international shipments
Working knowledge of ERP systems and familiarity with Agile environments
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
Ability to work effectively under pressure while meeting daily deadlines
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across cross-functional teams
Self-motivated individual who requires minimal supervision, works well in team environments, supports internal customers, and demonstrates a results-driven mindset with a proven track record of success
