Executive Assistant/ HR Office Manager

Overview

Serves as a member of the Human Resources team by providing information and service regarding general employment policies and pay practices.  Manages the administrative functions of the Human Resource office and supervises file room staff.  Serves as administrative assistant to the Vice President of Human Resources and supports the HR Operations Director and System Benefit Director as needed.   Coordinates the daily functions of the office to include ordering supplies, scheduling meetings, drafting correspondance, paying invoices, and overseeing various aspects of the worker's compensation program.  Processes and maintains internal and external contracts, subponeas, and legal requests.  Participates and coordinates special projects as assigned.  

Qualifications

Education

Associate or Bachelor Degree from an accredited college or university preferred.  HS Diploma or GED required. 

 

Experience

Previous hospital experience with a minimum of two years office supervisory/management experience.   Alternatively, will consider if there is two or more years experience of progressive responsibility in a hospital or Human Resources office setting. 

 

Additional Skills/Abilities

Must be able to effectively communicate with employees and managers regarding sensitive and often complicated issues.  Must be able and willing to work in a fast paced environment, requiring prioritizing and changing tasks frequently and quickly. Must be able to work without close supervision and to exercise independent judgment. Knowledge of basic accounting principles and purchasing processes needed. Must be proficient in the use of a personal computer, word processing, spreadsheet software, e-mail, copy machines, fax machines, and basic audiovisual equipment.
